Our People
STEPHEN ENRICO, CPA
Stephen Enrico, CPA, graduated with honors from UCSB in 1993, with majors in economics and accounting. Before starting his own practice in 2000, Steve worked, most notably, for the international public accounting firms of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP and Ernst & Young, LLP.
Although he and his firm handle all types of entities, Steve’s area of specialization is in all tax matters relating to businesses and individuals.
When not busy spending time with his sons, Steve loves to walk on the beach.
FRED GAEDEN, CPA
Fred Gaeden, CPA, graduated from Oregon State University in 1969 with a major in Business Administration.
In 1973, he began working as a staff accountant at the Santa Barbara CPA firm of Guntermann, Ball, Thompson & Cargill. Fred received his CPA certificate from The California State Board of Accountancy in January, 1977. In October, 1978, he joined Geiseler and Hill, CPAs, as a senior manager, eventually becoming a partner on July 1, 1979.
From 1979-2006, Fred practiced with the following succeeding professional partnerships: Hill & Gaeden, CPAs, Hill, Gaeden & Enderby, CPAs, Gaeden & Enderby, CPAs and Fred Gaeden & Company. He merged his practice with Enrico & Associates in October, 2006
Fred’s areas of specialization include estate planning, estate tax preparation, trust tax compliance, and trust administration for select clients. During his career, he has contributed his time working with several local nonprofit organizations including Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara, and the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation. His hobbies include photography and golf.
JEREMIAH S. WEISS, CPA
Jeremiah has worked at the company for over 18 years. Although he was born in San Francisco, he grew up in Boston, eventually returned to the west coast, and graduated from UCSB. Santa Barbara has been his home for the past 25+ years.
An avid sports fan, he enjoys participating in a variety of sports, travelling, and reading. Parents of two amazing daughters Cameron "Cami" and Farrah and one amazing son Theodore, Jeremiah and his wife, Julie, also share their home with Winter a loveable Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Our History
In 2000, Steve Enrico partnered with Carla Dobbs, another respected Santa Barbara CPA, in order to continue the practice of Allen Bordofsky, CPA. The partnership flourished and Steve and Carla eventually spun off their own separate practices. Steve's being Enrico & Associates. Since then, Enrico & Associates has enjoyed steady growth including the mergers with Fred Gaeden & Co and Jones Wheeler.
